Jack's Bicycle and fitness was started by Jack and Dora Goocher and began selling bicycles and bicycle related products in 1935.  Jack's was ran by Dora for the first two years during the day while Jack worked at Ford Motor Company.  Jack would come in during the evening and assemble the sold bicycles and repair the bicycle that needed service.  Jack stayed on with Ford Motor Compant for two more years while Dora ran the business before leaving Ford to work full time in their business.
The original store was located in down town Dearborn, Michigan on Mason street and Michigan Ave.  Years later Jack's had grown to have multiple stores by the mid 1940's in the Dearborn area and Lincoln Park Michigan. 
Jacks began it tricycle manufacturing in 1939 and by 1942 had manufactured and sold over 10000 tricycles.
 Jack's tricycle manufacturing facility was located in Wayne Michigan with over fourty employees in 1942.  
Jack retired in 1967 and his sons Don and Bob took over daily operation of the business.  Bob retired in 1974 and Don retired in 2000. 
Jack's was the second bicycle store to be online in Michgan and now hosts the largest cycling related web site in the state for cycling.  Jacks most recent store was opened in 1997 by Scott Goocher in Monroe Michigan and has just moved to a referbished bank building in Down town Monroe with over 7200 square feet of space.  Brian and Scott the grand sons of Jack and Dora run the business today and grooming there children which would be generation four for helping out in the business as well.
Jack's Bicycle & Fitness has been family owned and operated since 1935.
